- Lara & crew will be shooting the new visitors center for the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary as well as Dead Central, the official Grateful Dead Archive at UCSC for THA. Then onto Calgary to capture GE’s Innovation Center for Gensler DC and Hornall Anderson.

- Lara signed on to shoot INSPIRED: the churches of Seattle, the forthcoming book on 50 historic and modern places of worship, to be published in November by Documentary Media.

Lara shot the cover feature for EcoHome Magazine’s Sept/Oct issue - Fellowship May ‘11
- A 2010 joint fellowship with the Northwest Institute of Architecture & Urban Studies in Italy (NIAUSI) culminated late fall, and large scale mappings of the documentation are currently in the works. Public presentations will be made 05.11 and a gallery installation at Jack Straw Productions is scheduled for early 2012.

- The home/office building of LARA SWIMMER PHOTOGRAPHY & zimmerraystudios was selected as the Seattle AIA’s House of the Month, and will appear in Record Houses issue of Architectural Record in a feature on architects’ own homes.

- Lara was selected by the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) to display work with 25 other architecture shooters at the AIA Conventions in both SF and Miami, in a gallery space sponsored by Canon and Calumet.

- Along with her partner Robert Zimmer, Lara was commissioned by the UI’s Prichard Art Gallery in Moscow to create a joint artwork and site specific installation, the “Palouse Project,” a two-year culmination of that collaboration. “Topographies in Built and Natural Landscapes” ran June - Sept 08.

- Lara was the recipient of a 2008 City Artist Grant by the Mayor’s Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs for her work on the Palouse Project (first published in Metropolis, 05.2008)

- Metropolis Magazine’s 25 anniversary issue was celebrated in New York with a photo exhibit at the Art Director’s Club in Chelsea, “The Metropolis View: 25 Years Through the Lens,” in which Lara was one of 25 photographers, and one of twelve featured in the issue.
